BRING BACK CHILD HOOD CRAFTS

Bringing back childhood arts and crafts. I gave y'all a tour of my bag charms and I got the question over and over again of how do you do it? I mentioned in the video but I use Shrinky Dink paper. If you don't know what Shrinky Dink paper is, I'm sorry you missed out on a core childhood memory. But basically what it is is you draw on a piece of paper and then you put it in the oven and it shrinks into a hard plastic and then it becomes just a little trinket. I'm going to walk you through all the things you need and how you do it and encourage you per usual to try to do it yourself. What you need: Printable Shrinky Dink Paper, a printer, an oven, resin & a UV Lamp, a hole puncher or mini drill, jump rings & chains. So first thing you're gonna do is go print charms on the shrinky dink paper. In the document that you're using to print, make sure that each of the images are at 75% opacity. What this means is basically making them a little translucent when they shrink, the color is gonna get more concentrated. Also, you want to make sure that they are bigger than whatever charm size you want. About 2x size. From there, above each image, you're gonna put a hole in there. You put your jump ring, your keychain, anything like that. Once you have that, you're gonna cut around the image and the hole as close to the image as possible. What I do from here on a sheet pan, I lay down a piece of parchment paper and then I have a second piece of parchment paper ready afterwards. You'll put each of the images onto the parchment paper, leave a few inches in between images. Put them in the oven for about 10 to 12 minutes. Once it's done, you'll pull it out of the oven and very grab that other piece of parchment paper and just flatten them out. Once that, you're going to resin them. When you're using the resin, I imagine I have gloves on, I put on a mask and I wear my glasses, I'm not playing with chemicals. For each of these, you're gonna cover them in a layer of resin and then I place the UV lamp over it for about two to three minutes.
