I've got a lot of people ask me about my process once the clothes come home from the thrift stores or the bins. So we're here in my basement. I have so many things to list because I've been having too much fun on TikTok making videos for my followers and helping people and commenting. So normally I would get this done in a week, but it's been two weeks since I went to the bins and we still have all of this. So when I come home from thrift or bins, I usually wash everything from the bins, not necessarily the thrift stores or the estate sales. Unless it's new tags or it needs to be dry cleaned. I usually don't do anything with it except for use this fabric refresher spray. And I'll just hang it up here on this hole and let them air out for a little while. So once they're all washed, they're hanging up, then I will take them over to my light box. And I'll photograph everything. I'll do all the measurements, I'll do all the labels. I'll do any special sleeves or any special ruffle or anything unique about the piece. Then I will fold it up. I'll grab one of my poly bags. I'll put a label on the poly bag. Then I'll go over to my inventory system and I'll put it in the respective box of double letters. I used to have bins that were labeled A to Z, but the bins were too bulky, so I transferred them to boxes and just did the RRS. I like the way that looks more than like S10, I like SS10. I would love to have a numerical system, but that would take a lot of work. That would be better because the problem is when I sell one of these items, then I use that number. And so I have to go reprint labs. So that's the only thing about this system. Even though it looks really nice and I like having the letters versus the numbers. Someday I'll probably switch over to the numbers. And this is my other shelf. I've probably got about 750 to 800 items in both of these shelves here. Then I have big jackets and bulky items that don't fit on these shelves. I have shoes and then I have some collectibles down here at the bottom, but most of it is Christmas and I'm going to put those up in September. I love Christmas. And then this is my work station, not super clean, but you know it works for me. I'll package it up. If it's eBay, I will weigh it. If it's Photoshop or Macari or Dpop, they just provide labels without weighing and putting in dimensions. I'll print out the label, I'll smack the label on and I'll take it to the post office and get a receipt and that is my simple system. I even have a simple system for plastic wrap. I'll weigh it.
