HMRC just increased the mileage allowance from 45p to 55p per mile, and it's backdated to April 2026 👀 As a limited company director, every business mile you drive can be reimbursed by your company completely tax-free. That's no income tax, no National Insurance, straight into your pocket as a tax-deductible company expense. On 10,000 business miles, that's £5,500 tax-free. Under the old rate it was £4,500. That's a £1,000 difference, just for knowing the rule. This is the first increase since 2011!
