It might be overvalued. You're onto something. Next check the 3) Is the PEG ratio above or below 2? Below 2? Good sign. Above 2? You're paying up for growth. Next, return on 4) Has ROE averaged +5% for past 5 years? Has it averaged more than 5% in the last 5 years? No? That could be weak profitability. Yes? One more step. 5) Is the quick ratio above 1.5? That means the company can pay its bills. And you can dig deeper because real research takes more than 30 seconds.
