Went down a rabbit hole researching Ludwig Göransson and his resume is genuinely insane. Moved to LA from Sweden in 2007 to study film scoring at USC. Landed his first composer job on the sitcom “Community” — and it was on that set where he met Donald Glover. Göransson ended up producing a large chunk of Childish Gambino’s catalog, starting with the “Camp” album, all the way through “Awaken, My Love” and “3.15.20.” From there his film scoring career exploded: Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther, Venom, Tenet, Oppenheimer, and now The Odyssey with Christopher Nolan. The guy is a 3x Academy Award winner and has Grammys stacked on top of that. Belongs in the same conversation as Hans Zimmer at this point. Wild that it all traces back to a network sitcom set. #donaldglover #ludwiggoransson #childishgambino
