Mag 7 earnings started out rough. What could next week bring with the rest of the hyperscaler reports? Rob Spivey with Altimetry Research dives into the accounting behind some of these names and his prediction for what could happen in the market with the earnings next week. Rob, thanks for joining us. Let's take a look at the first one. Meta is coming up next week, Wednesday. How do you think the market's going to react to that report? I think that just like we saw with Alphabet, the big story is going to be CapEx and the fact that we are sure Meta, when it capped CapEx, just like Alphabet did. We'll see. I don't know if the market's going to love it, but the big question then is going to be about are they also profiting from selling their capacity to other players in the hyperscaler space, meaning other data centers? Because if they are, that might be the one surprise that could actually like Meta and not dislike the maintenance, the CapEx investment they're struggling. How about struggling Microsoft? Do you see a turnaround happening or falling even further? There's a really interesting data out there that Microsoft significantly ramped Azure capacity this quarter. If that's the case, if you listen to Satya Nadella, every single earnings call he has said, if we could just expand Azure capacity, we would sell a lot more because our backlog is insane. This might be the quarter that they surprise on Azure because nobody seems to that expansion capacity. And that for a positive surprise for Microsoft that everybody's sleeping on. All right. Amazon also Thursday. Expectations there? Amazon, obviously with AWS, always the same narrative in terms of CapEx numbers. The interesting thing for Amazon will be on the other side. Nobody seems to pay attention to the fact that it is also a phenomenal bellwether for the consumer too. And the consumer in its legacy business has been struggling but still spending. So what we'll be watching for in terms of what it means for the uniform accounting and for earnings is what happens on the Amazon side, not so much the AWS side. All right. Finally, Apple, the last Mag7 company to report this week on Thursday. What are your expectations for Apple? Yeah, when you look at Apple, right, everybody forgets that it is really genuinely the gateway for the wealthiest consumers into AI and the internet. We think that what you're going to see from Apple in terms of that as they're going to announce something that's going to help be able to boost that they are figuring out the AI narrative. And we think that to see that consumer spend, which will benefit Apple. I think that that one's going to be fine.
