And I have been living in apartments for 12 years, and all those 12 years, I have been able to negotiate. I actually learned this tactic from one of my best friends, and I will give you the free email template that you can use and negotiate. I honestly feel like it's money left on the table when people just don't even bother to counter offer their apartment complex and you end up losing so much. So I urge you to try. Here's the framework. First, you're going to thank them for sending the least renewal offer. Share what you love of about the apartment complex, how you love being a part of this community. Second paragraph. You're really surprised by this offer. You've living here for X amount of years. You really don't have to live at an apartment complex a long time to add that in. Honestly, one year is long enough. The third paragraph. If they wanna increase your rent by $150, you're not gonna say, I can pay $20 or I don't wanna pay the one 50. What you're gonna try is, how much would your rent be with the amount that you wanna pay? So if your rent right now is 1250 a month and you're willing to pay $20 or $50 more, however much you are, just gonna add that to your current rent. Then you'll just say I'm willing to pay 1270 and sign the lease today. There are some of you that don't even want a rental increase, and that's okay too. I was able to get a $0 increase be cause I found a loophole, which I'll share in another video, probably the one after this. But for you, just try a $20 dollar increase or however much you're willing to increase and send it using my email template and see what happens. So the close of this email is that you would sign today? If that works for them, 9 times out of 10 they're gonna say yes.
