This cost me under Our diy french doors explained! Hey y'all, so my video yesterday did way better than anticipated and y'all want to know how I DIY this door. So let me start off by saying this door came as a bifold door from Lowe's. It came with bifold hardware and then these two door slabs. So that is what you need from that package is from Lowe's are just the door slabs. I'll insert a picture of what they look like. So once those came in, I took my cabinet stain color and I stained these doors. They were solid spruce wood, so you can stain any color you want to match whatever color wood you have going on in your house. So we stained those. Then on Amazon, we looked up a saloon style door hardware and that is what allows them to swing either direction. So that is what we installed. And then we just put our door knobs on. These are also from Amazon. These are actually the ones from my bathroom doors because we still have to do those. But they look like some teeny tiny stuff, but they're really cute. You peel that off and then the knob is in a separate little container. Here's the knob. I love the crystal glass. I love anything like that. It's so pretty. These are actually the ones for my bathroom doors. So we still have to do those. And follow for more because I'm going to post a separate video on how I installed the little foot things at the bottom that keep the french doors held open all the time. And y'all follow along because I'll show you how we did the french doors also and I'll show you us putting the handle on. If I would have bought these doors at an antique place, which there's nothing wrong with that because that's what I was gonna do anyway, but it would have been $1200. And we self-contracted our own build trying to save money everywhere. So I'm not about to pay $1200 for just a set of doors. So in total, these did cost us less than $300. They were about 220 from Lowe's and then the hardware and the handle together was like $70. So that is a steal. I'm gonna have everything linked in my bio so you can do these doors yourself too. And y'all follow along because I'll show you how we did the bathroom doors also and I'll show you us putting the handle on.
