Arizona State University just launched a degree in influencing and at first I thought wow this is so progressive of them and my second thought was wow this is the dumbest shit I have ever heard. First thought you're like oh so smart progressive. This is how everybody's earning money right now. This is the way to do it. This is what children should actually be learning. This is what children should actually be learning. Unfortunately this is the best way to be making money right now. And then you think about the fundamentals of social media and how fucking fast it moves and the whole plan is out the window. This is about four years to learn this. I don't even know where social media is gonna be in four years. Second of all I don't think everyone can be an influencer to a certain degree. So how are they even like vetting this? Third and the most important it's a curriculum that needs to be built. By the time it's built the rules of social media are gonna be changed. I'm a content strategist full time and I change up what I think of social media and every little thing almost every month. Everything changes so fast. There's literally a new Instagram update almost every week. What's working what's not is constantly changing. There's no way to have a set curriculum. I teach social media full time and the way that I structure my curriculum is heavily influenced on live calls. I might be biased obviously. But at the end of the day I think if you wanna learn to do social media you go to a content strategist that has been already doing this that has their foot in the game and is that the saying I don't fucking know. The program is built for fast turnover of information. That's what I think of these shenanigans. But let me know what you guys think.
