so I woke up to find out that my ceremony video had gone viral on Instagram and a Twitter influencer had reposted on his page and I saw some comments under his post people talking about how it's impossible to become Canadian in four years and I realized I've actually never spoken about how I moved to Canada on here I did it on YouTube about three years ago so come with me to my ceremony while I tell you how I became a Canadian in just four years I came to Canada through the spouse sponsorship the spouse sponsorship is when your spouse who is a citizen or a permanent resident sponsors their spouse or common law partner to become a permanent resident in my own case it was my husband so after becoming a permanent resident you need to be physically present in Canada for 1,095 days so it means that you have to live in Canada for 1,095 days before you eligible to apply for the Canadian citizenship I met that requirement and I applied for my citizenship which I'm now a citizen so if you'd like a full immigration story about how I moved to Canada I have a more detailed video on YouTube and the link is in my bio
