Apparently I'm ruining my corgi's coat with this grooming routine, so let's talk about it. Every time I post a grooming video, people get upset that I lightly trim Phoebe's butt fluff. But a light, sanitary trim and tidying up the butt fluff isn't damaging her double coat. No, it's not part of the AKC show standard, but Phoebe isn't a show dog. Many pet groomers lightly shape a corgi's rear for a cleaner look, and I personally like how it looks. It also helps keep her cleaner after all the hikes and outdoor adventures we go on, at the end of the day, this routine keeps Phoebe comfortable, clean, and healthy, and that's what matters most to me. But anyway, let's get back to the actual routine itself. So as you saw, I like to start off by brushing her thoroughly with our HomerunPET vacuum. I also have all these items linked in my Amazon storefront, which is in my bio for those of you who are curious about these products. After I do her brushing and trimming, then I go ahead and do her paw pads and nails. And then I make sure I brush her teeth and clean her eyes. And then I finish her off with her deodorizing spritz from Mrs. Myers. And that's about it.
