This drink is called horchata. A creamy refreshing drink that's popular in Mexico and Spain. The first time that I made horchata, I honestly wasn't expecting much, but somehow it became one of my best performing recipes. So today, we are bringing it back. But this time around, we are making life a little harder. I started with roasting rice and instead of soaking it overnight like we are supposed to, I threw it straight into the blender. This blender really is a Mega Crusher. Then today is its audition. I kept adding things, tiger nut, fresh coconut, dates, ginger, roasted peanut, banana, and because apparently I enjoy stressing kitchen appliances, I added more tiger nuts. Then I thought, let's make this even worse. So in went some milk powder. A few seconds later, I was like, Big Tym, you are making horchata, not seasoning powder. So I finally poured in some water and let it do its thing. No struggling. No stopping. Every few seconds to scrape the sides. No let me shake my blender, just blend. And after blending everything, I strained this twice, with a normal strainer and with a cheese cloth to get my drink very fine and smooth. I also mixed in some condensed milk. And just like that, my horchata was ready. I gave one last stir and filled my glass with plenty of ice. And yeah, that right there is why I made this again. Creamy, nutty, refreshing. Every sip somehow tastes better than the last. Safe to say the blender passed the test. Half of the credit goes to the blender. If you've been looking for a blender that can actually handle the tough stuff without complaining, I've linked this one in my bio if you want to check it out. Now tell me, what's the next impossible thing you want me to throw into this blender?
