If you're a college freshman or sophomore, there are eight weeks this fall that decide whether you get in finance or not. Recruiting does not start during the year. By the time you're a junior, the seats are already gone. They went to people who did an insight program 18 months earlier. So here's the actual app calendar. September, Goldman Sachs Insight Series. November, Bank of America's Insight Forum. That one's an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City. Also November, Citi early ID, Jefferies Insight Days. And banking markets are fall only. So if you miss it, it's gone until next year. But three things decide whether you'll get in. One, apply in the first two weeks. Most of these are right on a rolling basis. November 30th deadline does not mean November 30th is spot on. Two, applications are generally essays. You're your resume stacked yet? Three, go to the info sessions.
