Borrowing to impress people is one of the fastest way to stay broke. Many people do not borrow because they are building something. They borrow because they want to maintain an image. A better phone, a nicer outfit, a weekend trip, a party, a lifestyle they cannot truly afford. The item may look good for a moment, but the repayment follows you. The repayment follows you for weeks or months. If you borrow 3,000 for lifestyle spending and repay 3,900, that extra 900 is not building your future. It is the price of trying to look comfortable today. This is how many people lose control of their salary before the month even begins. Part of that money is already gone to repayment. Then they borrow again to survive. Then the cycle continues. One loan leads to another loan. And suddenly your future income is being used to pay for past decisions. The problem is not borrowing itself. The problem is borrowing for things that will not increase your income. Protect your stability or build your long-term value. If a loan does not help you grow and invest or solve a real need, pause. Do not turn temporary enjoyment into a long-term financial stress. Before you borrow for lifestyle, ask yourself these 3 questions first. Will this still matter after I finish paying for it? Will it improve my future, or only my image? Can I afford it without debt? Your peace of mind is worth more than public approval. Comment no debt if you are ready to stop borrowing to impress people.
