Goodbye town! Garvanie was a beautiful little stop over but miles need to be hiked if I want to finish in my planned time. I left town with Ronja this morning, who is also on a similar hiking schedule/pace and we headed straight for Garvanie Falls. It was 5km detour but so worth it to see the highest waterfall in the Pyrenees up close. Then back to the HRP and straight into a 1,200m climb. The pass was beautiful as always, and there were heaps of trail runners around which was cool to see. A descent into the valley and then another ascent followed, as usual, and we found a cool place to wild camp just below the next big pass on our route. Apparently this pass is the most technical so far, so we will tackle that tomorrow morning. Another beautiful, wonderful day on the HRP!
