WHEN YOU ARE BEGINNING

When you are beginning a presentation or a speech and you do not know how to start it. Instead of saying good morning everybody, my name is this is what I do. Tell a story. Yes. Tell a story. Let me explain. I am Teacher Blessing. Is to help you speak English fluently, clearly, correctly and confidently. Are you ready? Let's do this. When you begin your presentation or your speech with a story, you're able to grasp the attention of the people. You command the room in a way that people will never forget. You're able to meet your audience on an emotional level. You're able to communicate your theme or your agenda explicitly in a way that people can relate with and people can follow. Especially when there is suspense. Especially when your story is talking about something emotional, like happiness, sadness, pondering anything that makes them evoked emotionally. Now, how do you tell a story? Tell a story that is related to the speech or your presentation. If it's about your business, tell me a story of how you started the business. Maybe you were going through something and that is how the idea came. So instead of saying my, I'm the founder of this and this is why we're running this business? Tell me a story of what you were going through and how you came by that idea. By that, I will never forget your business. Forget about what your business stands for and how it started. Maybe it might not be your story. It can be somebody's story. A popular figure, Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, the first lady of the country. Anybody. It can even be the story of a product, Coca Cola, how it started or KFC, as long as it is related to the topic for the day. Tell that story. Storytelling is the most powerful thing you can do at the beginning of your presentation or your speech. So you start with a pause and then command the room with a story. Do you understand?
