Replying to @jenjoensuu I know ear cropping is a controversial topic, and I understand that not everyone will agree with my decision. That's okay. Healthy conversations and respectful disagreements are always welcome. What isn't okay is casually calling someone an "animal abuser" because you disagree with them. Those words carry real weight. There are dogs who are beaten, starved, neglected, abandoned, and tortured every single day. When we use the term "animal abuse" for every disagreement, it takes away from the reality of what those animals have endured. Sinew, and all of my dogs, are deeply loved. They're spoiled, well cared for, receive routine veterinary care, and even have an entire room in our home dedicated to them. When we chose to crop Sinew's ears, it wasn't done in someone's backyard or basement. We invested nearly $1,000 to have the procedure performed by a licensed veterinarian while he was safely under anesthesia, with proper pain management and aftercare. You're free to disagree with ear cropping. I respect that. But disagreeing with a choice and accusing someone of animal abuse are not the same thing, and I think that's an important distinction to make. #amstaff #amstaffpuppy #puppy #cropped #cutepuppy
