I'm a minimalist because the less stuff you own, the less stuff you have to clean, which makes cleaning much more efficient. So if this is a sort of lifestyle you want to achieve, this video is for you. Starting off with the one in, one out rule. Now surprisingly, I actually love shopping, but I've replaced not collect. Most of the time you don't need duplicate things, so keep the best and get rid of the rest. For a minimalist, clutter-free sink area, grab yourself a soap dispenser and fill it up with some washing up liquid. This way you can use the same soap to wash your hands and wash your dishes. Next is storing items based on your household size. Now I live in a family of four, so there's no need to have an excessive number of plates and bowls. Just keep what your household actually uses and declutter the rest. Moving on to single use gadgets like egg slicers, pizza cutters and garlic presses. These are unnecessary extras. Get rid of them and use a knife instead. Now on to your shoes. I only own four pairs of shoes, two for casual, one for work and one for home. I'll always purchase neutral coloured shoes so they pair with all of my outfits. My Crocs are an exception though because they're only for home. I only own one fragrance and that's my signature scent that I'll wear year-round for every single occasion. It's my signature scent and I'll keep repurchasing. Lastly, is no cushions. I've tried to make my bed as minimal as possible. Always remember that every item I own needs to be cleaned and taken care of. So ask yourself whether it's truly worth keeping and declutter accordingly. So that's how you can achieve a minimalist lifestyle. Let me know in the comments what your favourite minimalist tip is.
