If you're shopping for a backpack for school, please make sure it has at least these features before you purchase it. Number one, it has to have a padded laptop compartment. I'm pretty sure 90% of backpacks have this nowadays, but just make sure it has one, or else you shouldn't get it for school. Secondly, make sure it has a breathable back panel. If you're gonna wear this around on campus all day, you want to make sure that it has mesh holes on the back. That way it doesn't collect a bunch of sweat and start smelling halfway through the day. The next thing you need is a large bottle sleeve that is actually large enough for your water bottle. This is where most backpacks will fall short on your list because a lot of them have side pockets, but it's too small. Your water bottle is just gonna fall out every time you pick up your backpack. The fourth thing you need to check is that it has enough inside pockets for organization. You don't want all your small items like AirPods and notebooks sitting at the bottom of your backpack. And finally, the most important thing you need to check, don't get a backpack that's too big for your daily needs. I've made this mistake before, and trust me, your back will feel it.
