You can’t make this stuff up!!! Part 3: The hardest part of owning a trucking business isn't always the truck... sometimes it's the people. After everything that happened, I asked the driver if he needed help getting home. I offered options — a bus ticket, an Uber, or sending him some money to help him out. He chose the money... but what happened next was extremely disappointing. Seeing him use that help to buy alcohol and greenery products was a tough moment. Then he lit it up right in front of my face. I was on the phone with my insurance company removing him from the policy when it happened but there's the spliff right there in his hand. This is a reminder that when you're running a business, you can have compassion and still have to make hard decisions. Helping someone doesn't always mean the outcome will be what you hoped for.
