Part 3 of DIYing my first dollhouse. In the last part I fully assembled the dollhouse and now we're going to be working on the exterior of the house before I move on to the interior of the house. I wanted the exterior to be brick and I wanted it to look as real as possible. So after researching a couple of different options, I landed on this one which is using lightweight spackle with this silicone stamp that I got off of Amazon. And the trick with this is you have to wait for the spackle to dry a little bit and then go in with cornstarch. I learned that the hard way. And then I actually decided I'm going to cover this window right here because I don't need it. So I just put some cardboard together, glued it and then I'm about to put it in there and do this wall right here. I should have thought of it beforehand but I didn't. So we're here now. So we're about to put that in. The key with this method too is just working in sections. So if I was working on one wall, and then another wall, I would have to wait for it to dry so that way I didn't mess it up when I go and stamp in the corner. So that's why you will see me moving around a lot. And because this house had the slats, I would have to go in and basically do a skim coat first to fill in all of those slats and then go in with another layer that was a little bit thicker, that way you could see the brick. So here's where we ended last night. I got this whole siding done except for this part so I was waiting for these two parts to dry first. And last night I went to bed happy because I was thinking, okay, tomorrow I can start painting. And then I realized I still have this whole top to brick. So that's what we're going to work on right now. In the next part, we will be working on the painting and are there any guesses yet?
