Part 13 of DIYing my first dollhouse. And this is the one where I'm recreating the friends hallway. In the last part, we got the doors finished, the window installed, and the step-up platform. Now I'm going to be working on painting and doing the Wainscoting for the hallway. I figured it was a lot easier just to assemble the door out of the dollhouse because this space is going to be pretty small and this helped out a ton. When I first started to do this dollhouse, I got a lot of different wood from Hobby Lobby and this one is basswood and it worked out perfectly for the bottom lower half of the wall for the hallway. And for the top half of the wall, I decided to go in with this creamy antique white, which kind of gave off a yellowish tint, which I feel like is perfect for this hallway. And then it was time to install the faux doors. You guys, so for this dollhouse, again, not everything is going to be 100% correct. And I'm also just doing it room by room, so these doors aren't going to open up to anything. But trust me, the iconic purple door with the yellow picture frame will be included. For the brown Wayne's coating, I initially started to paint this thin basswood brown and then I was going to install it first and then go back in and paint it. But it started warping, so I had to install it first and then go back in and paint it. I just want to say thank you again to all of the new followers and my previous followers for coming along this journey with me. It makes that much better. Stay tuned for the next part where we install trim, flooring, and paint the ceiling.
