In 2022, this strange piece of footage began circulating across social media. A security camera appears to capture a slow-moving object approaching to within what has been claimed to be less than 1,000 feet of the camera’s fixed location. Then things get weird. As the camera zooms in, the object appears to fade out. And then… it appears again. Before seemingly fading out a second time. When zoomed in, the object appears to have a distinctly disc or spindle-like shape, with no obvious means of propulsion. So what are we actually looking at? A UAP? A camera artifact? Something conventional being misidentified? One detail that makes this footage especially interesting is the apparent timing of the object’s disappearance when the camera focuses on it. Did it know it was being watched? I’ve seen conflicting claims about where this footage was recorded, so I’m deliberately leaving the location out rather than spreading something I can’t verify.
