The Grand Wagoneer REV just opened up for ordering… but what exactly does REV mean? It’s not a traditional EV. The battery does the driving, while a 3.6L Pentastar V6 acts as a generator to keep that battery charged. The gas engine isn’t connected to the wheels at all. And we already have a pretty good idea of how that system is going to work. This is the 2027 Ram 1500 REV, using the same 92-kWh battery and 3.6L Pentastar generator setup going into the Grand Wagoneer REV. Ram is claiming: ⚡ 690 miles of total range 💪 14,000 lbs of towing 🏁 0–60 in 4.5 seconds And this isn’t some far-off concept. It’s production-ready, will run from Tradesman all the way through Tungsten, and it’ll be built right here in Sterling Heights, Michigan. If you’ve been curious about the Grand Wagoneer REV, this is our first real look at how that powertrain is going to work. Let me know in the comments: does a setup like this kill your range anxiety? And with a gas engine on board, do you still consider it an EV?
