We thought a bigger house would give us more. It didn't. So we sold our 3,000 sq ft home, downsized by nearly half the space, traded square footage for 2 acres, and built a simple (yet beautiful) barndo for under $200K. We realized the bigger house wasn't the answer. The answer was building a life with more contentment. A home that gave us the freedom to live within our means, stay consumer debt- free, and slowly build our dream home, and our dream life one DIY project at a time.
