Jacksonville. Have any of y'all been to Dolce Vita? I went last night for a friend's birthday and I was just surprised at the level of service and also the food. Let me show you what I ordered. It was a $35 risotto dish. So here's my plate of food and not only did it look like something I could make at home as in the presentation was kind of all over the place. A bite of the risotto and I was like, I don't think I can keep eating this. It was crunchy. It was al dente, or whatever. It was crunchy. I don't know. Italian sometimes I get confused over pasta's names. Over after we, the manager finally caught his attention, which to speaking, it took so anything. So the manager comes over and we're like, hey, two of us at the table had ordered risotto and it's like, crunchy. And he goes, and he goes, that's our style here. I've never heard, why would anybody want the rice teeth? I'll take that. So he takes the plate away. Keep in mind this is $35 dollar dish. I get my receipt, paid. It said that I paid. Total $63 dollars and then they charged me $8 for the caprese salad that came with this entree and $8 for the risotto. And I haven't figured out why. They charged me $8 for the risotto when they said that we're going to take all the dish. Like I haven't figured that out yet. The drinks were really good though. The awkward thing is so when I followed on Instagram, we're mutuals on Instagram. They posted that they got invited as an influencer and they were like praising it. And I just said, oh LOL. I was there for dinner and the restaurant followed me on Instagram. How do I? I might make them unfollow me because I would never be comfortable promoting this restaurant. Every other table in the restaurant was celebrating a birthday. It felt like a birthday factory. And the quality of the food and the service just didn't line up to a $35 dollar entree.
