agents. like how do we plug them into our software ecosystem. And so MCP is announced. And I'm like, maybe this is the thing. Maybe this is finally the thing and it's from a company and I try to use it. And it's just really hard to use. The SDK is complicated. It takes me a couple hours to set up a basic server. And as I may have a tendency to do, what was the first server you tried to set up? I don't even remember anymore. I like to say hi. Like it was just it was just complicated to set up. It was just a test. And I end up writing a piece of software to make it easier to build servers. And I call it fast MCP. By this time, I've forgotten, I couldn't tell you what server I was trying to build. But I have now built a piece is a really clean way of going from zero to 60 on building a server. So I put it and honestly, forget about it. It's like a thing project to building workflows for people. And I get a call from David Soria Parra, maybe a couple weeks later. And he says, listen, this is a developer experience. Could we put this official SDK? Can this become MCP server? And I was like, "Yeah, this is the coolest thing that Anthropic would want to use this open source software." So I worked with David into the SDK and to this day, use the official SDK, you import a fast MCP object and you server with it.
