Growing up with my parents in Ijoko, an underdeveloped part of Ogun State, shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand. But at some point, I realized my environment no longer matched the person I was becoming. Sometimes the awakening is recognizing that where you come from can shape you, but it doesn’t have to define where you’re going.
