I filmed this two months ago and it just sat in my camera roll... I think I needed the distance to actually be okay with people knowing this about me. Filming something and posting it are two different levels of admitting my reality, and I wasn’t ready for the second one until now. The thing I’ve made peace with is that I don’t have it figured out. I’m running a business and finishing premed and I still can’t give anyone the clean answer about what I’m doing with my life. For a long time I thought that made me a mess. Lately it just feels like being 22 and having options. I’m finally posting because I keep talking to students who feel like having more than one interest makes them look scattered on their applications. I was that kid too. I shrank myself down to one neat little “thing” because I thought that’s what schools wanted, and I really wish someone had told me it wasn’t.
