This one single key can unlock every single suitcase in the world. If you don't believe me, I have my suitcase right here. And this thing is currently locked. Now, the entire reason it was possible for me to print these keys has got to be one of the craziest stories I've ever heard. If you've ever seen a suitcase with the lock, it's most likely had this little red diamond symbol on it. Now, this is the logo for a company called Travel Sentry, that has a partnership to make TSA approved locks. This means that TSA is able to unlock these suitcases for security reasons, using their master keys. So you'll know if TSA opened your bag? Now, in 2014, the Washington Post was doing an article on TSA. And right in the middle of the article, they published a photo of those seven master keys. Now, this article sat publicly and nobody really noticed for a long time until some lock pickers on Reddit found it. And you can only imagine what they were trying to do. Now, the photo from the article wasn't exact enough to make exact copies of the key. So somebody online decided to try to find the exact source files for the key by hacking into the manufacturer's website. And somehow they were actually able to do it. So now all seven are just floating around online. And anybody with a 3D printer can print them. So I'm not gonna keep super valuable stuff inside my suitcase. And if I do, I'm gonna get an extra lock because literally any of them can open them.
