On 100 cow dairy it’s hard to find a way to fit everyone into the farm and make a living. I remember my dad suggesting we start an agri-tourism business and run tours at the farm. I was excited but also didn’t have the belief. As a young pup high schooler I was terrified of failure. I was lost and didn’t know what direction to go. I ended up going to UW Madison Short Course and got to experience the college life and worked a few jobs and different farms along the way. Ultimately and thankfully at 25 I came back to the home farm and FINALLY started farm camp and tours. Hindsight I wished I started sooner but that all had to happen to get here, it was part of a bigger plan. So grateful our dad allows us to think outside the box and still be able to farm.
