The secret is finally out🤍 For a long time, I was the only one standing in my own way. I told myself I wasn’t smart enough. That I was too old to start over. That I had already built a successful career and business, so maybe I should just be grateful for what I had. But deep down, I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something more waiting for me. Owning Contoured by Katie for the past five years has been the greatest accomplishment of my life. But as this business grew, I grew too. I’m not the same 22-year-old woman who started this journey, and somewhere along the way, I realized the part of my job that fulfilled me most wasn’t just helping women feel beautiful. It was caring for them. My brides trusted me with more than their wedding makeup. They trusted me with their questions, their insecurities, and some of the biggest decisions leading up to one of the most important days of their lives. Conversations about skincare, aesthetics, injectables, and wellness became just as meaningful to me as the makeup itself. That’s when it clicked. What I loved most was never just makeup. It was caring for people. Building relationships. Educating. Earning trust. Helping women feel confident through every season of life. Looking back, it feels less like I chose this path and more like it had been quietly calling me all along. Next month, I’m beginning an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Not because I’m leaving Contoured by Katie behind—Because I’m investing into its future. The dream that once felt impossible and out of reach is finally becoming my reality. This isn’t starting over. It’s becoming the woman I was always meant to be—and building the future I’ve always envisioned for Contoured by Katie.
