It's time for the final self portrait. If you've not been following along with this, I've been doing the this is not a sketchbook, it's an art class book for the last three or four months, I don't know. But it's an online art course that has a physical book tied to it. So it's full of QR codes that introduces you to the course. It's run by Lauren Horn, who is an art teacher who took basically the art one curriculum from high school and put it into an online course and workbook to help people who have always wanted to draw but never really got into it. Maybe you had an art teacher that sucked. Maybe you weren't allowed enough time in school, time got away from you, whatever. For me, I'm an experienced artist who wants to revisit the basics because I went through a major postpartum depression episode after my baby and I don't know, I've been in a slump for a long time with my art style. Got stagnant stuff. Even though I am a full-time artist. Very beginning of the book, she has you do a self portrait. So she's helped people go from that to that, that to this and so forth. These are actually high school students and some of them have shown up in my comments and told me how much they love her. Lauren just knows that they love you. This is my self portrait from May 28th. Heart Jasmine, that's my friend. And I have done all of the lessons. It's taken me a long time and questioned. I get questioned a lot like why even chose to do this if I'm a full-time artist. I'm an artist. People who play football still go to practice. Hairstylists take workshops. Professionals constantly revisit skills. I missed a lesson. Crap. She does have a YouTube also that has a bunch of free other things on there. And I'll let you know there is a lot of copies of this book. If you're seeing this on any other platforms, anything under $40, it's definitely a scam. Her shops, named Lauren Horn Art too. I'll tag her too. We are finally to the point where I need to draw my last self portrait. There's this whole section where it has a QR code and she'll teach you how to take a good photo to use as a reference photo, a checklist to follow for that, and a pre-gridded page. Also this page that has the notches on the side. I'll be back. I need to actually watch the lesson. I don't want to waste ink. So then I'm gonna add the same gridding to this page. I decided to go with the page that had the register marks on the side and just drawing a really light line across so I can erase it at the end. Normally, I would go in with the darkest colors first. But Lauren teaches a very different method. This is gridding not new, like I said, it's like an art one class. So I'm gonna zoom in on this. I'm kind of nervous. Like I'm taking a test, but in public. My younger. Be interesting. Do this. In drawings? Digital. Been having blue eyes before. And don't I feel it. Ooh. See vision? My. My unmanaged eyebrow. I'm having a good time. Ooh. You guys are gonna poop your pants. Isn't that pretty good?
