here five things I thought were wrong with my kobo and turns out it was pretty normal. A bunch of things confused me a little bit when I first got my kobo so you guys don't have to be confused before you buy your own kobo because apparently I didn't do my research. First thing is ghosting. So I really thought that the faint text of the previous page on my kobo means that there's something wrong with my device that it's not working, the screen is damaged or something like that. But apparently it's pretty normal with the e-ing. I didn't know that. And speaking of screen, refresh rate is also something that I didn't expect because again, coming from an iPad, I am used to my iPad Pro which has 120 hertz refresh rate. Then I searched kobo and that was pretty slow. That would actually made me think that there's something wrong with my kobo and I had to watch a lot of videos and had to ask TikTok if that's normal. It turns out it is pretty normal. Crazy. But I had to learn how to be patient. It's not gonna help if you tap them multiple times. Anyway, okay, next, kepub versus epup. This one I learned pretty late. Then I didn't know about kepub stats before. I just noticed that the covers of books on my kobo are not full screen. I tried to research how to do that and then apparently you have to use kepub. And then I found out you're gonna have your reading stats. Fourth one is screen. Why the screen looks great? Okay, so this one is because it's a colored e-reader, not a black and white e-reader. The screen is more whitish. And I thought it's gonna be the same with colored e-readers. But turns out our screen are more shitty. That's something that maybe you think if buying a colored e-reader is actually worth it. But it doesn't matter. And that's totally fine. And then one last thing is the battery percentage. Again, I'm used to iPads. I'm gonna charge it twice a day or one times a week depending on how much I read. But e-readers or kobos guys I charge this once a week or twice a week depending on how much I read. So yeah, so those are the things that I didn't know at first. But hopefully before you buy your kobo, you have watched my video and you already know the be better than me, okay?
