Under these circumstances, when the divorce case came up for hearing today at the Chengalpattu court, Vijay's side requested an adjournment to another date. They cited the ongoing Legislative Assembly session as the reason for requesting an alternate date. However, since Sangeetha appeared via videoconference, her side requested that the hearing proceed today, leading the court to adjourn the matter to the afternoon.
