Open-heart surgery on my home theater!🍿🔊 If the floors aren't shaking, is it even a real home theater setup? 😂 Recently, one of my 18-year-old Paradigm subwoofers in my 5.2.2 Dolby Atmos setup blew out from foam degradation. Deep, clean bass is everything when it comes to true movie immersion, and I want to keep the retro gear together as it belongs, so replacing it wasn't an option. It was time for a DIY fix. A $15 re-foam kit and a quick surgery session later, it's back to life! I used a clothespin centering trick to align the voice coil perfectly without any rub, and it worked flawlessly. 💯 That's both subwoofers officially restored and ready for another 15 years.
