Most people doing landing exercises in ACL rehab are absorbing with the wrong joint… and have no idea. Firstly, why does this happen? Since the moment you got injured, your brain has been protecting your knee But at some point, you have to rebuild the trust to actually use that knee again The left side of the video (more effective) shows good absorption - through the hip, knee, and ankle all working together. The right side (less effective) is mostly absorbing through the ankle. The knee is barely involved. So here's the small change we made with our client. Instead of holding the ball up by his chest, we had him hold it lower, closer to his hips. That small shift drops his center of gravity and forces the landing to come from the knee. Now his quads and knee are doing the work… instead of staying upright and dumping everything into the ankle. One cue can completely change how you are landing. Because learning to land and controlling force is a non-negotiable before you earn the right to jump and run fast This is part of the PRIME phase of our 3-step process. → Comment "3STEP" and I'll send you the free video training that breaks down the whole 3-step process I've used that’s helped over 200 ACLers get back to running and sports
