I cannot believe I am only now trying this spot after living on the Central Coast for almost two years. Presqu’ile Winery is just east of Orcutt and southeast of Santa Maria. There were so many experiences to choose from, and we decided to try out to Wine and Food pairing which is $75 per person. That was the best decision I made all week. I think I just found my best eat of 2023 and I can't believe it's been hidden in the hills east of Orcutt and southeast of Santa Maria this entire time. Presqu'ile Winery, we signed up for the wine and food pairing experience which is $75 per person. The spread was delicious, the staff were so kind and knowledgeable, and the entire experience was incredible. This is an absolute MUST DO. The pork cheek was braised in Asian inspired flavors and topped with scallion oil and it was so, so tender. The goat cheese topped with basil oil was creamy, tart, and tangy and paired perfectly with the flatbread. The gem salad was tossed with fresh corn, shiitake mushrooms, and fava bean dressing and it brought just the right amount of brightness to this meal. And for my number one were these incredible roasted potatoes served with some sort of aioli. They were so flaky and crispy, I obviously couldn't get enough. After that mouthwatering food and wine pairing, we had to take a stroll around and see what else the winery had to offer. Our wonderful tasting host was so kind and even gave us a tour of the barrel cellar and even snapped some photos for us. Overall, I had an amazing experience and cannot wait to be back.
