A reminder that the August uglies are real, and it's ok 💗

August uglies are hitting hard over here 😅 - I hate to say it, but we’re beginning to near the end of the season (at least for SW PA). Some things will keep producing for a while - many until the first frost probably in October. BUT many of these plants have been alive for at least 6 months at this point, and they’re on the down swing now. - It’s not looking super pretty and aesthetic over here, but that doesn’t mean things aren’t producing! The squash are losing old leaves, but the fruits are looking incredible. - I’m starting to possibly see some blight starting on the tomatoes, but they’re all ripening beautifully. - The beans had a rough time with the baby bunnies, but they gave us lots of veg and there’s still time for a second round! - Weeds are absolutely taking over, but come fall they’ll all die back anyway! - If you feel overwhelmed by trying to keep up and keeping everything pristine, you’re not alone, and don’t be hard on yourself! - - #gardentips #garden #homegrown #august #gardening
