FOAM MOD FOR MAXIMUM THOCKINESS

It has come to my attention that the world wants thocky keyboards. We're gonna build one today using very accessible items I got off of Amazon entirely. And the Gateron Sea Salt Smoothie Switch. I have some poron foam. I have some keycaps. And the Leobog Hi75C PRO by Leobog. Let's turn this keyboard thocky. This keyboard has such a good base to make a really thocky sound. What it sounds like right out of the box. It's not great. Okay. The first thing I'm gonna do is I'm gonna remove all of these keycaps and the switches. That's done. Now we need to remove this volume knob. We have six screws that need to come out. We have two on each side here and one on each side here. So we're gonna undo the screws and then this whole component is gonna come apart. It's just a Phillips screw. Save your screws. Now that the screws are out, this is pretty easy. I'm gonna remove that and ever so gently remove those components for a moment. There's already a lot of foam in here, but we're gonna add more. You can use whatever kind of foam you want. I'm gonna use poron foam. I'm gonna have to trim. You don't have to be precise about this. I'm gonna trim a little slit for that. And then I'm gonna trim around this little cable. Otherwise, I'm just gonna put the foam in. I also have to cut a little bit of length off here so. Just like that. That I'm gonna put on the side. Let's just try that and see how it goes. We need to pick up all these components and put them back in the right spot. Now we're gonna put the switches in. I will be back. Okay. So we're done with the switch portion. Now we have to put on the keycaps. The keycaps that I picked are a nice MOA profile. MOA just means that it's all the same, all the same level. But MOA is gonna give you the thockiest sound. It's a nice little neutral. I'm all done with the keycaps. The last thing I'm gonna do is I'm gonna put a silent switch on the spacebar. This is what it sounds like right now. Thank you. The one that I'm gonna add is gonna be the HMX Butter Silent Tactile, which is arguably one of my favorite switches. It's quiet. It's not silent. It's not silent. Okay.
