mgk said this might be the last MGK Day, but he might “run it back” next year after the rain cut the MGK Day Festival short. On August 8, 2026, the third day of the annual MGK Day Weekend, mgk took the stage for a headlining concert at the MGK Day Festival held at Cleveland's North Coast Yard. However, his performance came to an abrupt end when torrential rain poured over the outdoor venue, damaging stage equipment and instruments. After the rain forced his performance to end early, mgk offered a heartfelt apology to fans before addressing the future of MGK Day. Describing the situation as “so bittersweet,” he revealed that this might have been the final MGK Day while leaving open the possibility of bringing the event back next year: "It's also so bittersweet because... this isn't an official statement—I don't know if this is gonna stick—but this might be the last MGK Day that we do. Maybe the silver lining is there's no f- way I'm going out like that, so I might have to run this back. So maybe if everything would have went right, then we would have stopped it here. But maybe because this happened, we gotta do it back the right way next year." #mgk #machinegunkelly #colsonbaker #mgkday @mgk @mgkdaycleveland
