Michigan Republicans Are BIG MAD About Mackinac Island

Republicans in the state of Michigan are absolutely losing their minds today. And it's because Abdul El Sayed was basically caught on a hot mic talking shit about Mackinac Island. He said something to the effect of, I hate Mackinac Island. Every time I've come here, I've absolutely hated it. And it's like, same. I can't remember a time going to that island and actually liking it, even as a child. And it's funny because just the other day, my cousins, who are in their 30s and 40s with no kids, took a trip up to Mackinac Island. Dinner with them, and I said, we're looking for something to do with our kids when they get back from the West Coast for their summer vacation. And I was thinking about taking them to Mackinac cause they had never been there. And my cousins, without skipping a beat, were like, don't do it. I say, why? And it's because it's so effing expensive up there. They were up there for a day, one meal, a ferry ride to the island, and then they ride around it. They spent 450 bucks. And now you got all these politicians and of all people, Kid Rock of all people, coming out and saying that Abdul's an idiot for just telling the truth about Mackinac Island. John James has said something. Mike Rogers has said something. Lisa McClain has said something. I get the aesthetic that Mackinac is trying to go for. It is old school. There's no cars on the island. Everything is horse and buggy or you take a bike. But that aesthetic isn't attainable for people in the middle class tax bracket right now. And Republicans will say absolutely anything to foment more outrage and disgust towards Abdul right now. So anyways, if you could sum up this video, fuck Kid Rock, fuck Mike Rogers, fuck Lisa McClain, fuck John James, fuck Mackinac Island. Go vote Abdul.
