With the right software and a few inexpensive components, one board can become a home server, network tool, smart home controller, cyberdeck, or even the brain of a robotics project. I ranked these based on how useful I’d actually find them rather than just how impressive they look. Some are great for learning electronics and programming, while others can become genuinely useful tools you use every day. And at number 1 is a project I’m actually working on right now: combining Pi-hole, Pinas, and PiCloud into one Raspberry Pi setup for network-wide ad blocking, local storage, and private cloud functionality.
