In light of the voice memo guy, plus the bisexual men discourse, I genuinely think that indefinitely, we do not any type of sexual discourse to the internet. And it's simply because we live in a sex negative society. There are more people who are sex negative than people who aren't. I've gathered from a lot of this discourse is that people see sex, specifically penetrative sex, as like, an inherently violent act that doesn't have two willing participants being done unto somebody, as well as somebody propositioning for sex or asking for sex as something that is inherently immoral or coercive. When I don't think that's true, I simply think people have different boundaries, different ways of going about their life. Like for the voice memo guy, I don't think anybody was wrong. I genuinely don't think any take that anybody had because the takes that people were having were their own personal takes, personally react to receiving this voicemail. Projecting on to the hypothetical girl because we didn't, girl reacted. All they knew is the voice memo and what they would have done personally. A human flaw is that a lot of us assume that we would react to a situation that most people, a situation. And that is the correct way to react to a situation. Take people assuming and projecting their own perceived reality onto other people and the reaction that they're having is the only sane, reasonable and logical one. And you combine that with people's need to moralize things that they dislike, that to quickly devolve into calling people sexual predators because of how they decide to navigate certain sexual situations. And I think that's strange and dangerous because you're calling somebody a sexual predator based on an opinion that they had in a comment section or a two minute video that they made. And people are very rash and delusional and scary conclusions about people that they don't know personally because they're choosing to engage in sexual relationships in ways that are "unquote unquote immoral or simply have different standards or regulations around, you know, intimate and sexual relationships. I think that's strange and I think that's weird.
