I flew 13 hours for an acne facial and here's how it went. As you know, I've been struggling with acne for a long time now and I thought why not fly to Korea, the capital of glass skin, to get a facial. So I met up with the girlies at EasyDerm and they brought me to a skin clinic where a lot of locals go to. It's called Chang Dermatology Clinic in Gangnam. And prior to my facial, I got to meet with the head dermatologist. He explained the procedure and also answered a lot of burning questions I have about acne and recommendations for people with acne prone skin to do at home. I'll share what he said in a separate video, but for now, let's dive into the facial itself. They started off with a quick scan of my skin. It was crazy seeing my pores up close like that. And this facial pretty much started out the same as all the other facials that I've gotten in the US with cleansing and extractions. But then here's where it started becoming different. They put this dark serum on my skin and then use this red light vibration device. I think to help it penetrate deeper. And then the head dermatologist used a laser on my skin, and this was specifically to help with my discoloration and excess sebum production. And then for my cystic acne on my jawline that I've had for months, injected them, and I swear they were flat within an hour or two. It wasn't that painful, maybe a maximum of three. And that was pretty much the end of the facial. My skin felt great after. It was glowing and it wasn't too irritated. I'm excited to see how my skin heals after this. Hopefully I can achieve beautiful glass skin like the girlies in Korea soon.
