Friendly and interested can look surprisingly similar, which is why one warm interaction can be so easy to misread. Friendliness usually gives you enough attention to make the interaction pleasant: a polite smile, comfortable eye contact and normal conversational distance. Genuine interest adds investment, they orient more of their body toward you, hold eye contact longer, move a little closer, remember details and look for reasons to keep the interaction going. Leaning in or holding eye contact alone doesn’t prove attraction, but when increased attention, proximity, orientation and personal investment consistently appear together, you have much stronger evidence that their interest may go beyond friendliness. #bodylanguage #facereading #attraction
