1. The typical Topo mousepad. I’m sorry, but it’s SO basic. You see the same Topo design in setups everywhere, and personally, I think it’s ugly. Your mousepad takes up such a big part of your desk, so use that space to add something unique to your setup. There are way better designs out there. 2. Expensive peripherals when you don’t even know what you like yet. Don’t spend €200+ on your first keyboard or mouse just because people say it’s the best. When you’re starting out, you probably don’t even know what switches, mouse shape, weight or size you prefer yet. Start cheaper, figure out your preferences, and upgrade later. 3. An arm sleeve unless you actually need one. Gaming arm sleeves reduce friction between your arm and mousepad and can make your movement more consistent, especially for low-sensitivity competitive players. But for normal gaming? Personally, I think it’s unnecessary. Unless you’re seriously competitive or friction genuinely bothers you, you probably don’t need one. You want more tips?
