Replying to @rabia.hasan8 Back-to-school season is officially here! 📚🇵🇰🇺🇸 And somehow the days went from “summer vacation” to school lunches, meet-the-teacher, appointments, errands, cooking… ALL at once 😂 A little peek into a very normal (and very busy) day in my life as a Pakistani-American mom. 🤍 Apparently, this is my slow season. 😂 @heb Whole Wheat Pita and Produce @crescentfoods Recipe Viral Chicken Doner Kababs 🌯 Ingredients 3 lbs chicken mince 1 heaping tablespoon yogurt 1 tsp roasted, crushed cumin 1 tsp salt, or to taste 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp lemon pepper 1 tsp anardana (dried pomegranate seeds), crushed Red chili flakes, optional 1–2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste 1 small onion, very finely minced and excess water squeezed out Fresh mint, very finely chopped Green chili, very finely chopped, to taste Method Add all the ingredients to the chicken mince and mix really well until everything is evenly incorporated. Cover and marinate for a couple of hours for the flavors to develop. Place a sheet of parchment paper on your counter. Take a dollop of the marinated chicken mixture and place it on the parchment. Cover with another sheet of parchment paper and use a rolling pin to roll the chicken mixture out very thin, like a flat sheet. Peel off the top parchment paper, then roll the flattened chicken sheet up tightly using the bottom parchment paper, creating a parchment-wrapped roll. Repeat with the remaining chicken mixture and place the rolls on a baking sheet. Bake at 400°F for approximately 22–30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked. Once baked, the chicken kababs should slide right out of the parchment paper. Slice or break them into pieces. #PakistaniAmericanMom #MomLife #BackToSchool #SchoolLunchIdeas #PakistaniMom
