THE THEORY I CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT… 👀 Okay, hear me out before everybody jumps down my throat. I’m watching the Lindsay Clancy trial and I keep coming back to one thought: What if we’ve been asking the wrong question this entire time? I’m NOT saying I know who killed those babies. I’m NOT claiming Patrick Clancy committed a crime. And I’m certainly not pretending TikTok knows more than a courtroom. But there are things about this case that make me uncomfortable enough to ask questions. Because the defense isn’t really disputing that Lindsay was responsible for the deaths. Their argument is that she was in an extreme psychiatric state—postpartum psychosis—and legally incapable of understanding what she was doing. (WBUR) And the more testimony comes out about how severely she was struggling beforehand, the more I find myself asking: Who knew what? Who saw what? Who was responsible for protecting those children? And what happened inside that house that night that we still don’t fully understand? The prosecution says Lindsay deliberately sent Patrick out to get food so she would have time alone with the children. (WBUR) But here’s where my brain gets stuck… If she was truly experiencing a catastrophic break from reality, are we looking at a calculated crime—or something much more complicated? And if we’re going to scrutinize every action Lindsay took before that night, shouldn’t we also scrutinize EVERYONE’S actions, knowledge, and timeline? That’s not me saying Patrick did it. That’s me saying I don’t believe we should decide the entire story before every piece of evidence has been examined. Maybe Lindsay is exactly who prosecutors say she is. Maybe she was catastrophically mentally ill. Maybe there are failures by doctors and the healthcare system that contributed to what happened. Or maybe there are details we haven’t heard yet that completely change how people see this case. That’s why trials exist. Not for TikTok. Not for Facebook. Not for public opinion. For evidence. So I’m curious… 👇 Am I the only person watching this trial who feels like there are still MAJOR questions about the timeline and what happened inside that house? Because this case is far from as simple as “mom killed her kids.” There are layers here. And I want to hear what YOU think. 👀 #L#LindsayClancyL#LindsayClancyTrialT#TrueCrimeTokT#TrueCrimeC#CourtTok
