BYD Shark 6 vs Hilux Revo GR-S. Which one gets your vote? These two trucks are quite popular in Pakistan, but their capabilities are quite different. So let's compare these two trucks. Revo GR-S has a 2.8 liter turbo diesel engine producing 201 HP and 500 NM of torque. Shark has a 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine with two motors, both with electric motors, and it also comes with a PHEV setup. So you get a range of about 80-90km. This truck produces 436 HP and 650 NM of torque. On paper, Shark 6 is much better. It produces more power than Revo, but its off-road capabilities are nowhere near Hilux's. Because it has low end torque and a 4-wheel drive selector, you can also select 4-wheel drive. Revo's towing capacity is 3500 kg, Shark 6's towing capacity is 2500 kg. This is 1000 kg less than the industry standard. So Revo gets 1 point and zero for Shark. Comfort and convenience: there is no comparison between these two trucks. But Revo, you will not get modern safety or comfort features. Whereas Shark 6 has a large screen, 360 degree panoramic surround-view camera, 180 degree underbody/transparent chassis view, and 6 airbags. So overall, Shark 6 is a safer truck. Better materials, better sound system, these will all be available in Shark 6. Overall, the cabin experience of Shark 6 is much better than Revo. Revo is an old school truck and is missing many basic features. If we talk about reliability, Revo is definitely better. People have driven this engine for millions of kilometers without any issues. But Shark 6's battery life is much shorter. According to the owners, it lasts 6-7 km per liter if you don't charge it. Whereas Revo gives 12-13 km per liter on road. More dealerships and mechanics are available for Toyota in Pakistan, so Revo is easier to live with. Price: there is a difference of about 4 million rupees between the two trucks. Shark 6 price is 1 crore 99 lac 50 thousand rupees, whereas Revo is 1 crore 58 lac 39 thousand rupees. So the result is: if you want to go from point A to point B comfortably, fast, and want an excellent experience, then you should choose Shark 6.
